Learn to manage your (or your family’s) BIG emotions!
My (virtual) clinic hours are Tuesdays to Thursdays from 11am to 5pm. Please note that my admin days are Mondays & Fridays, and I answer emails and return calls only on those days. As well, due to the chaos of parenting, working and living, the best way to get a hold of me is by booking a 20 minute meet & greet (it’s free!).
Family Counselling
If you are struggling to find balance, notice that you are reacting, as opposed to responding to your child’s, colleagues, family member's behaviours, or simply want to create a more mindful and meaningful relationship with yourself and others, please contact me. I work with parents and children, as well as individuals looking to bring mindfulness, emotional regulation, stress reduction and many practical tools for wellness into their world.
Generally, our family coaching sessions last between 2-6 sessions. More sessions may be necessary to address more complex mental health concerns; however, we will lay out your treatment plan after the intake interview. My sessions are $165/hour. My services are covered under many insurance plans (Social Work Counselling) and I do provide a sliding scale to those in need.

Rebekka's core values as a therapist
As a psychotherapist, my role is to support my clients as they explore their present-day experiences; identifying both the positive and negative patterns and provide tools that will eventually shift their current mindset to be more resilient, brave, kind and present.
I approach therapy as an ongoing project. Being brave, being kind and being present is all about changing the way we experience stress, adversity or pain. One of my favourite phrases that guide my practice is, “pain is inevitable, suffering is optional!” When we allow ourselves to be present, curious and compassionate with our suffering, as opposed to resistant or hiding it deep within us, our relationship to it changes. The moment we step outside the experience, witness without judgement, let go of trying to control it and accept it “ just as it is," our suffering holds less power over us. In this process, we open ourselves up to the opportunity of growth, compassion and soul-filling presence.
Mindful-based Psychotherapy, Polyvagal informed therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving, Flash, EMDR and CBT are all tools that I use to help my clients change their lens towards suffering, stress and parental and work-life challenges. I’m a BIG fan of skill-based counselling. As such I am inspired by Dr. Lisa Damour's podcast, "Ask Lisa", Dr. Becky Kennedy's "Good inside" model, Dr. Ross Greene’s “Collaborative & Pro-active Solutions” (CPS), Dr. Dan Siegel’s “Mindsight” teachings, Susan Keiser Greenland’s playful mindfulness approaches, Jon Kabat-Zinn’s brilliant work on secular mindfulness and Sharon Salzberg’s compassionate teachings on “ lovingkindness”.
As one who worked for years in supporting clients through trauma, I’m also trained in Flash, EMDR, EMDR 2.0, with special training to work with pre-adolescents and teens. I spent 2016-2019, focusing my training on secular Mindfulness and have been trained by UCSan Diego’s Centre for Mindfulness to teach the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction course. I bring many of the resources of this program (i.e., mindful meditation, inquiry and skill-based teachings about the brain/body connection) into my personal and professional practice. And in the last 5 years, I've taken numerous courses on ADHD, trauma, anxiety and stress, and am currently completing my ADHD certification.
I teach workshops on Mindful Parenting, Mindfulness in Schools, Therapeutic Classrooms and Corporate Settings. If you would like to learn more about me and the work that I’m doing, please send me a note - I’d love to chat!
